Projects Needed: NY Times Home Section to Feature Innovative Aging in Place Options

Posted · Add Comment

Penelope Green, a reporter for the NY Times Home Section, is looking write an article featuring innovative approaches to aging in place.

For example, she heard about a builder who built a cottage on his property where both his mother and mother-in-law live.
I know of someone who is exploring a “Golden Girls” house:  a common living area, a common apartment for a caretaker or caregiver, and 2-4 suites for each homeowner.
You can share projects which have been built, or ones which are in the planning stages.
If you have any projects you would like to share, please send a blurb (and photos) to me by Dec. 12, 2012.
Projects which are not selected by the NY Times may be featured on my website.
Looking forward to hearing about the options!
