15 years ago I was an interim lecturer at Cornell University teaching a design studio on special populations. The final project was the redesign of the Memory Care unit at Bethany Village, a senior housing campus. My students and I enjoyed working with then director, Tom Santobianco and his staff. Tom has since become CEO of the entire campus, and I am consulting as an advisor on their rehabilitation therapy wing renovation. I am thrilled, as Tom is an out-of-the-box thinker who arrives at innovative real-world solutions which put his residents first, and his staff a very close second. The first site meeting of our multi-disciplinary team yielded much progress. Stay tuned.
