On March 9th, 2017 a new conference on Universal Design will debut in NYC. UD NYC is a one-day TEDx style event with presentations in the topic areas of Architecture & Design, Healthcare & Government, Technology, and Education. Two giants of UD, Ed Steinfeld of the University of Buffalo’s IDEA Center and John Salmen of Universal Designers & Consultants will present, as will Matthias Hollwich of New Aging. We will have examples of simple, yet powerful community intervention projects from Canada, as well as a NYC subway station. Speakers from Google, Michael Graves Architecture & Design, and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
For the past year I have served on the advisory board for this event, and will share my perspective with a presentation on the importance of the built environment in public health.
Please explore the program and register for this exciting and informative event. If you have any questions, please email me at email@example.com
I hope to see you there!
