AARP/The Boomer Project Universal Design Consumer Task Force


AARP and The Boomer Project have joined forces and created the Universal Design Consumer Task Force.  This working group is comprised of members from both organizations, as well as experts from academia, industry, design & building, the media, and other categories.  The overarching goal is to raise consumer awareness of the power of Universal Design.

NAHB/50+ Universal Design Task Force

NAHB’s 50+ Housing Council

Tasked with increasing awareness of Universal Design, this group of 50+ Housing Council members from various industries worked with NAHB staffers to create the first-ever Universal Design Day:  “Reimagining Universal Design.”  The focus actually extended to all 4 days of the International Builders Show (IBS 2011) and included seminars as well as guided tours to manufacturers offering UD products.
